Robert Jones is the creator of the Knowledge and Proclamation blog. Knowledge and Proclamation was created to highlight and promote the impact of theological study on preaching and pastoring within the local church.

Robert is originally from Compton, CA. He attended Verbum Dei High School in South Central Los Angeles. Following that he attended college at the University of San Diego where he received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering. After completing college Robert moved to Tucson, AZ. There he would meet his wife Charlene and later have two children Anastasia and Sophia-Dei.

Having always felt a calling to ministry Robert has spent many years serving the youth of his local church. He has served as Youth Pastor and as a member of his local church’s leadership board. Robert also works annually to lead and coordinate a summer camping trip for children in the Los Angeles, CA area. As a speaker Robert practices expository preaching. He has presented at youth retreats, men’s retreats, special gatherings and has presented the Sunday sermon as guest speaker at several churches.

In an effort to be faithful to his calling Robert decided to attend Luther Rice College and Seminary where he earned a M.A. in Christian Apologetics. Robert not only presents apologetic messages to large groups but he also uses his graduate training to introduce churches to apologetics as a tool to aid evangelism.
